GottaSolveIt Review: “Chrome-8 is terrific!”
January 19th, 2011Chrome-8 with Game Center
January 19th, 2011Chrome-8 with Game Center is now in the AppStore!
Chrome-8 v 8.6 soon to be released
January 13th, 2011Notable new feature is integration with Apple’s Game Center. Chrome-8 still works with OpenFeint, though. However, I find OpenFeint sluggish, in particular during the login/approval process. Will hopefully improve with future OpenFeint releases.

January 2nd, 2011Testing Chrome-8
July 4th, 2010One of the important things when updating Chrome-8 to iOS 4 and iPhone 4, is to improve graphics. The 326 p/i display will give a much cleaner look to the graphs. Anyway, I don’t yet have an iPhone 4 so I’m figuring out how to test the improved graphics.

New Contract
June 7th, 2010Back working on a contract developing a remote control app. Since it’s proprietary stuff there’s no competition to be inspired by. I have checked other remote control apps though. Available GUI do not impress me. Hope I can design something better.
Actually, I’m not doing the communication level, only the GUI and application logic.
Will report when the app goes official.

May 23rd, 2010MegaMath
May 22nd, 2010This is one reason I created Chrome-8, cited from the now un-funded MegaMath project (created by, among others, Nancy Casey):
The source of new problems, discoveries, and theories in mathematics is mathematicians’ own inventiveness and their propensity for asking “what if” kind of questions. Students who puzzle over existing questions or ask new questions of their own are doing mathematics. When students play games on graphs it is natural for them to ask two types of questions that get to the core of what professional mathematicians who are graph theorists do. These questions are:
How will this game change if we play it on a different graph?
What if we changed the rules or invented a different, but similar game?
Give it a try!
